background / biography
My name is Izdihar Dabbah Isaac. I was born in 1961 in Syria. I did my primary education in Lebanon and in Syria. I completed my high school education in Jordan where I excelled in Math and Science. Since my childhood years, I enjoyed designing, sewing, making crafts, drawing, and music. At the age of seventeen, I returned to Syria to study civil engineering at the University of Damascus. I lived in Syria, Lebanon, Philippines, Canada, and the United Kingdom. I also traveled to several countries including Austria, Germany, France, Egypt, Thailand, Malaysia, and the United States of America. While living in the United Kingdom, I studied Art and Design at Broxtowe College, Nottingham. Since then I started to produce professional paintings. I like to use variety of techniques: watercolor, pastel, oil, and acrylic. In many of my paintings, the beauty of God’s creation inspires me. Therefore, I mostly enjoy landscape paintings using vivid and strong colors. I had my own exhibitions in West Beqaa, Lebanon. All the proceeds of my paintings went to charitable work in Lebanon. I paint in my own painting studio at home.
